The home wizard for Zenbo was the first surprise announcement of the Computex Taipei 2016

Designed to provide the assistance, the entertainment and the companionship at home, Zenbo seems as if ET had fused with an iMac G4. The robot is the half of a home inspector and half of a wizard style of the Eco Amazon.

The domestic robot Zenbo of the Asus Company was announced just before the start of the Computex trade show being held this week in Taipei. This robot is capable of taking multiple facets, it’s difficult to classify it and, well, it’s just plain weird.

Zenbo can understand the voice commands; for example, the user may ask you to remember an appointment with the doctor. At home, it also automatically monitors to detect the emergencies, and then notifies the family members through a smartphone of any developments.

It has a built in camera, which according to the Asus company, it’s ideal for photos and it can be controlled remotely, for example, to check what your dog or a small child are doing.
Zenbo also functions as a stereo speaker; you can tell the children's stories to entertain your child or with educational games. Its animated face, which can display a range of emotions, is a touch screen.

Finally, Zenbo can be connected to other smart, such as the televisions, intelligent lights and the air conditioners appliances. For example, you can tell it to turn on or off the TV.
If we have to think of a similar device, the closest one would be the Rolling Bot LG, which it's not yet launched, and that it would be a much simpler device. Pepper, another competitor that is from Japan, it's more "human", but a much more expensive robot.

Zenbo costs US $ 599; and there are still no details about its availability in the United States or other countries.

The Computex Taipei 2016 is the largest exhibition of information technology and communications in the Asian continent, it opened this week at the World Trade Center in Taipei with a historical record of participation, and the aim of promoting the ecosystems computing network.

In this edition, held from May 31 to June 4, 1,602 exhibitors from 30 countries will present their cutting edge developments in robotics, virtual reality and in the four fields of the Internet objects, the innovations and the new businesses, the business solutions and games.

More than 15,540 international buyers have announced their participation in the event, in exhibiting companies of the caliber of ABB, Acer, ASUS, Audi, HTC, Intel, Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft, MSI, Samsung and Siemens, the Development Council said to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), one of the organizers of the exhibition.
Taiwan has long been a key player in the computer industry and the communications, as a manufacturer for the international brands and as a designer of the components and the finished products.

In this edition, the Computex Taipei 2016 has a dedicated innovation, in which you can experience the virtual reality, with exhibitors from 217 companies from 22 countries, seeking to turn the show on its launch pad area.
