Whatsapp had the right idea
.The chat application has decided to work on a way for users to remove the message they just send not only from their end but also the receiver’s phone too. Of course, only before they get a chance to read it.
This is basically a way to prevent embarrassing moments that mistakes and emotions can give us when we want to deliver a message, so giving control to users on their own content is an interesting take that make us wonder what extent could exist for the capacity of communications. No matter how big or small the channels are.
Short memory term
This feature was announced earlier at February of this year and its beta has already been tested for launch, it’s going to be part of the new pack of updates Whatsapp has on store right now. It will be available first for iOS then Android (there’s still not a clear date), and before it was part of Whatsapp’s web version for the beta test.
The update came along with certain initial limitations, the modifications of the sent message can be done in the time of 5 minutes after pressing the sent button, or be completely unsent; all this advancements came to be at the opening of this year.
The plan is to make it optional, so people are not obliged to apply it with the update since it is understandable that it could get annoying if it’s automatized for that; but probably is going to be added in along with a turn on/off button.
Besides the unsend option, people will get the chance of sharing live messages adapted to the changes you do in real time fashion, with a limit of time of course. It presents a similar action to Snapchat’s stories.

And to finish with glittered gold, Whatsapp is letting everyone in over its growth with the update that erases the need of typing commands and certain special characters in order to apply things to your text like bold text or italic, for example; there will be now a series of shortcuts for it.
